One afternoon, Papa Bear called Brother Bear into the living room with an excited but nervous look on his face. “Brother Bear,” Papa Bear said gently, “I want you to meet someone. This is Lady Bear. She’s a very special friend of mine.” Brother Bear felt a knot in his stomach. He wasn’t sure what to think. He missed Mama Bear and had hoped everything would go back to the way it used to be. Lady Bear stepped forward with a kind smile. She had soft fur and bright eyes, but Brother Bear didn’t know if he was ready for something new. “Hi, Brother Bear,” Lady Bear said warmly. “I’ve heard so much about you. I’m happy to meet you and spend some time together.” Brother Bear stayed quiet. He wasn’t sure if he liked the idea of someone new coming into their lives. Papa Bear noticed and knelt down next to him. “I know this is hard,” Papa Bear said softly. “We all miss Mama Bear, and nothing will change that. Lady Bear isn’t here to replace her. She’s just here to get to know us and help us feel happy again.” Brother Bear looked at Lady Bear. She seemed kind, but the thought of everything changing still felt strange. “I miss Mama,” he whispered. Lady Bear nodded. “I understand, Brother Bear. It’s okay to miss her. I’m not here to take her place. I just want to be here for you and your family, and maybe, in time, we can be friends.” That night, Lady Bear helped Papa Bear make dinner, and as they sat around the table, Brother Bear found himself talking about his day. It felt different, but not in a bad way. Maybe, just maybe, things could start to feel like a family.

"It's boring!" she'd groan whenever her mom suggested a jog in the park. "I'd rather stay home and read." One sunny afternoon, Lily was playing in her room. Her favorite pair of bright pink sneakers sat by the door just waiting to be worn. Suddenly, with a mischievous glint in their eyes, the sneakers hopped off the floor and skipped towards the window! Lily gasped. "My shoes! Stop!" she cried, but the sneakers were already out the window and were bouncing down the street. Lily raced after them, her heart pounding. She chased them down the sidewalk and around the corner until she was out of breath. "Come back!" she yelled, her voice echoing through the neighborhood. The sneakers, however, were having the time of their lives. They bounced past beautiful flower gardens, dodged around playful puppies, and they even slid down a hill. Lily, huffing and puffing, finally caught up to her runaway shoes. She scooped them up, feeling a strange tingling sensation in her legs. "You silly shoes! You can’t just run away! I don’t like to run and you made me chase you. You made me feel SO tired!" she said. Her mom, who had been watching from the window, chuckled. "Looks like you're having fun. Can I join you?” she asked. Lily, surprised by how much fun she was having running, decided to keep going and said “yes, let’s go”.

Eran en realidad los hijos de los superhéroes adultos. Mateo estaba feliz, les mostró su bici y le contó de su jardín y sus amigos. Los niños superhéroes escuchaban atentos. De repente les llegó una misión: había un gatito atrapado en un árbol. Era hora de actuar! Y como Mateo estaba justo con ellos, le pidieron que los ayude. Entre todos lograron rescatar al pobre gatito y devolverlo a su dueña, que estaba muy agradecida. De repente Mateo se despertó, se dio cuenta que todo había sido un sueño. Pero en el piso vio un poco de “telaraña” que era de Spiderman. Sonrió.
