Mako says she does not know that song because she does not celebrate Christmas. The other children ask Mako to just sit out. Ms. Dennis tells them no, they are not going to exclude someone. Ms. Dennis tells the children find something they have in common, and asks them to bring an item that symbolizes the holidays they celebrate. When the children return, Avery brought a red, a blue, and a gold candle Avery's family celebrates Human Light, the candles represent, reason, compassion & hope. Jordan brings a Kinara his family celebrates Kwanzaa they light the candles to symbolize their community. Taylor brings a star from his Christmas tree. He explains that he celebrates Christmas and that the star is a reminder of the North Star the wise men followed to find Jesus. Mako brings a Bodi tree with lights. Mako's her family celebrates Bodi day, the day when the Buddha achieved enlightenment the lights on the tree represent the path to enlightenment. Alex brings a Menorah, Alex's family celebrates Hannukah, and the candles symbolize light's triumph over dark. River brings in a crown made of holly candles sticking out of it. her family celebrates Winter Solstice & the return of the sun. Ms. Dennis says all their celebrations revolve around light and the symbol of the Unitarian Universalist Church is a flaming chalice, each of the children have a light inside of them. River suggests they sing "This little light of mine" for the winter concert. Everyone agrees.

Two metal springs named Twist and Tumble live in a cardboard box on a shelf in Harry's hardware store. To discover what is beyond their box, Twist leaps off the shelf, but Tumble is scared of everything and needs encouragement to take the leap of faith too. Eventually he leaps too and bounces safely onto the floor ready to begin new adventures and explore life.

Once upon a time, in a sunny meadow, there lived a little lioness named Arion. Arion wasn’t the biggest lioness, but she had a big, brave heart. One bright morning, Arion woke up and stretched her little paws. “Today is a good day for an adventure!” she roared softly. She walked through the tall grass and noticed something strange—her friend, the little bunny named Luna, was stuck on a big rock! “Oh no, Luna! Are you okay?” Arion asked, running to her side. Luna wiggled her ears. “I’m stuck, Arion! I can’t get down.” Arion thought for a moment. She wasn’t sure how to help, but she wanted to try. “I may be small,” she said, “but I’m brave! I’ll find a way.” Arion gently nudged the rock with her tiny paws. She pushed and pushed, and with one last little push, the rock rolled away! Luna hopped down. “Thank you, Arion! You are so brave!” Arion smiled. “I just used my big heart!” From that day on, Arion knew that being brave didn’t mean being big. It meant helping friends, no matter what. And every time the sun shone bright, Arion and Luna went on more little adventures, ready to be brave together. The End
